About this bottle
The initial commercial distribution of Puntas, also referred to as the Distiller's Cut, is featured in this tequila. It is an overproof plata tequila created by capturing the initial and final portions of the distillate during the production run. The tequila emerges from the still at 128 proof before being reduced to 101 proof with spring water from Tequila Ocho Distillery in Arandas, Jalisco, Mexico. Consistent with other Tequila Ocho releases, this tequila originates from a single harvest at one location. The agaves were gathered from the Camarena family's "La Ladera" ranch in 2021. Released in April 2022, 600 cases are allocated for the US market and 100 for Mexico.
