Tapatio Blanco 110 is bottled at a high proof, a characteristic not frequently found in US imported tequilas. This spirit is the result of a partnership between Carlos Camarena, whose family has a long history of distilling in Mexico, and Marko Karakasevic of Charbay Distillery & Winery in Napa, CA. The intention behind bottling at this elevated proof is to preserve the pure essence of the agave without dilution. It is produced without additives.

Astounding! This is an exceptional blanco. I'm awarding it five stars; it's the finest I've ever experienced. I typically prefer cask strength or high proof. Options are restricted in Canada. This tapatio excels in every aspect. Wonderful agave, citrus, pepper, and clean flavors... just remarkable.
Tapatio 110 “83” Nose: Cooked Agave, Smoke, Pepper, Citrus Palate: That pleasant oily mouthfeel I anticipate. Cooked agave, alcohol, pepper – slightly hot initially. Hints of Mexican mint lime. The pepper burn is more pronounced in the 110 proof version, leading to a lengthy finish.
Vegetal, oily, with a touch of green bell pepper. The finish becomes earthier with notes of cinnamon and pepper. While not my top choice for a cask strength spirit, it's an outstanding option for a go-to cocktail tequila.
Excellent with hints of cooked agave, mint, anise, pineapple, citrus, melon, a touch of pepper, and buttery floral notes.
The aroma suggests salty dried lime. It starts with an oily texture but finishes thin and dry. Exhibits peppery warmth and notes of grilled fruits. A solid offering.
Once you try this for margaritas, there's no going back.
