About this bottle

Tequila Ocho single estate tequilas were established by Tomas Estes and the Camarena family. This particular bottling, La Magueyera, is named in tribute to the maguey plants themselves. The agaves used for this tequila were cultivated in gray clay soil on south-facing slopes, receiving full sunlight daily. The añejo is aged for one year in heavily used American whiskey barrels, which have become "neutral," allowing the pure agave flavor to be preserved.

Tobias Corrales 4.0

Very smooth after resting on ice for about 3 minutes. Not many developed flavors beyond agave and oak. Pepper and some light citrus notes are present. However, it's very oak-forward. Those who enjoy bourbon will find some comparable flavors in this tequila.

Shari Beil 5.0

This is a respectable tequila, with a surprising color for an añejo.
