About this bottle

The agave known as Barril, used for this mezcal, are tall plants with somewhat thicker foliage at their crowns. These specific agaves are cultivated closer together, encouraging taller stalk growth. They are found scattered and semi-wild in the mountains of Oaxaca. This mezcal is crafted in the traditional manner in Rio de Ejutla, Oaxaca, employing a bull-drawn tahona for crushing the cooked agave hearts.
