Dark amber in the glass. The nose has a slight astringency and hints of fig in the background. The flavor offers mild stone fruit with some warmth during tasting. There's a unique, almost nougat-like sweetness unlike anything I've encountered in any spirit. The finish lingers briefly but isn't overly prolonged. This is not a light, fruity, or perfumed Cognac. It possesses complex flavors, but I find the heat excessive for a 10-year-old and considering the price. The heat might deter newcomers. It actually reminds me of an Armagnac. I might revisit this review after pairing it with a medium-strength cigar. If cost is not a concern, it's worth trying for a distinct Cognac experience. Typically priced around $95, I purchased it on sale for approximately $75.
