This Cognac is overpowering at 64.3%, hitting the palate with pure ethanol. Hints of orange peel and cocoa emerge like faint recollections. Rated 2/5. After adding water, it changes significantly. The alcohol now carries bright orange, dense cocoa, toasted coffee, and nutty flavors to a finish of rich leather and rancio. It recalls the finest Armagnacs from a certain producer. Rated 5/5.
