About this bottle
This blanco tequila serves as the foundational spirit for the Expresiones del Corazón collection of barrel-aged tequilas. It is produced at Casa San Matías Distillery in the Los Altos region of Jalisco. Sugar content in the agaves is assessed using the brix level before harvest. This tequila is crafted using a blend of agaves with varying sugar concentrations. Following the cooking, milling, and fermentation of the agaves, the resulting "mosto" is distilled in stainless steel pot stills. The tequila then rests in stainless steel tanks for 60 days before bottling. This 100% agave tequila is bottled at 80 proof. This release in June 2018 is the fourth for the collection and is available nationwide with limited quantities.
