Nose: less intense and more subdued compared to the standard quarter cask; notes of dates and pecans, a hint of corn. Palate: sweet cooked strawberries, macadamia, pecan, caramel, allspice, cinnamon, and leather. Finish: lengthy and syrupy, sweet, with notes of raisin and resin, plus a subtle spice - reminiscent of a Mackintosh's toffee bar. Adding water enhances the spicy elements.
