BUY? - Recommended for dedicated fans of Michter's lower-proof selections. It surpasses their standard sour mash and bourbon offerings, but it's not a groundbreaking whiskey. Perhaps a good option for low-proof whiskey enthusiasts. BUY AGAIN? - Honestly, likely not. The $110 suggested retail price is a bit high for this. While it's a limited release, a price closer to $80 would be more fitting. It's good, certainly, but not worth over $100.

Review number 295. Evaluated in a Glencairn glass after a 15-minute rest. Color: Medium amber. Aroma: Apple, apricot, plum, and raisin. Taste: Clove, baking spices, and additional fruit. Finish: Long duration with moderate warmth. With Water: A few drops of water release some oak tannins. Overall: Rated 9 out of 10. This is my initial bottle of Shenk’s, coincidentally sampled from a Michter’s glass. Despite its lower proof, this bourbon offers an enduring finish, which is highly valued. The aroma and taste are also noteworthy. Michter’s continues to deliver outstanding limited edition releases.
Extremely light and simple to consume. The flavor profile seemed to decline with additional sips. Initially, it was quite pleasant, finishing decently.
