I opened this bottle to mark a recent special occasion. It's from Trusart, a Cognac House with German roots. I believe this is their second release, 'Encore Une Fois.' While not age-stated, the blend is composed of eau de vie aged between 15 and 25 years from Grande Champagne. The appearance is typical of other cognacs, perhaps a shade lighter. The nose offered pear, dried fruit, and orange peel. The palate surprised me with its soft texture, featuring pears, oranges, and a very subtle nuttiness on the finish. Allowing it to rest improved its smoothness and sweetness.
