In 1988, Ailton Fernandes established Cachaça Meia Lua e Lua Azul on the Meia Lua farm in Salinas, northern Minas Gerais. By late 2019, it was rebranded as Meia Lua Destilaria, an ambitious venture integrating the Premissa and Unna brands. Today, the distillery is recognized for its superior products, a success built on diligent work and the pursuit of excellence. During this time, Beleza de Minas cachaça was also produced here, an exceptional line aged for 3 years in Bálsamo wood. The result was a high-quality spirit with the characteristic influence of Bálsamo, a Brazilian wood, exhibiting a citrine yellow color, with notes of green tea, anise, fennel, a herbal essence, well-integrated alcohol, and an elegant yet distinct personality with a long finish.
