About this bottle

Produced in Los Valles, Jalisco, this Atanasio Blanco Tequila is an additive-free expression made from 100% blue Weber agave. The agave is cooked in an autoclave, crushed by stone mill, fermented without fibers in stainless steel tanks, and twice distilled on a stainless steel pot still. It is bottled at 80 proof.

A very good, intense, Agave Spirit by Atanasio [NOM 1599] in Jalisco (Los Valles), Mexico, produced in stainless steel; double distilled before being bottled at 40% alcohol by volume. It presents an aromatic beginning with notes of cooked agave, earth, fruits, herbs & spices; while a bold middle adds notes of sweet agave, plantains, green apple, anise, dill & mint; leading to a complex, medium-length finish with notes of malolactic cheese, pepper, cinnamon, mushroom, grass & wet soil.
