Consumed neat. Pale golden straw hue. Exhibits very long legs on the glass. The scent is delicate, layered, and harmonious. Notes of agave, fruit, aged oak, herbal elements (anise), citrus, earth, and wild honey. The taste mirrors the aroma. Strong agave sweetness and herbal characteristics. Mellow honey, vanilla, oak, citrus, and a touch of pepper. The finish is enduring. Oily, sweet, and spicy. A tequila for savoring and exploring. The price is reasonable for the caliber of the spirit.

About this bottle
Arte NOM is the creation of Jake Lustig, an American who grew up in Oaxaca, Mexico, and has dedicated his adult life to importing, selling, and writing about agave spirits. Lustig collaborated with his preferred producers of blanco, reposado, and añejo tequilas to create special batches showcasing their expertise. This project necessitated a change in Mexican law, which previously mandated that a single brand represent the product of only one distillery. This reposado is produced in Arandas from estate-grown agave and rests for four months in third-fill ex-bourbon barrels. It contains no additives.

A refined Agave Spirit from [NOM 1414]. It presents an aromatic beginning with tastes of cooked agave, wood, fruits, flowers, herbs & spices; its balanced middle phase brings notes of vanilla, plantain, caramel & orange zest; concluding in a swift & dry finish with hints of jalapeño, oak, cinnamon & honey. May 2024
Pleasant green olive character, slightly briny, with dried chilies subtly present behind Asian pear fruit, hints of basil and tarragon. Not as rich as the 1579 or as full-bodied as the 1146, but it possesses remarkable delicacy, and the oak provides a wonderful enhancement to a great, enjoyable agave profile.
For a reposado, this has minimal color and not much barrel influence... however, it possesses an incredible flavor profile. It starts with agave, followed by a touch of pepper and green vegetables, then unexpectedly finishes with a smooth, sake-like taste. I wish I had many more bottles.
The finest reposado I've ever encountered. This bottle will become a regular in my home bar. It will be my exclusive choice for margaritas, and I won't even worry if the cost of my margs escalates significantly; it's that exceptional.
Another one of my top choices for sipping tequila. It's perfect for enjoying poolside with a lime. Nose: vegetal, sweet. Palate: vanilla, allspice. This is my go-to when I need a break from scotch.
