About this bottle
This additive-free tequila is crafted from 100% blue Weber agave and takes its name from Amatitán in Jalisco, the location of the earliest known agave distillation. Tequilero Don Alberto Partida directs its creation at Cava de Oro (NOM 1477). The process involves cooking agave in a stone oven fired by mesquite, crushing it with a tahona, fermenting the fibers in wooden vats with wild yeast, and distilling twice in 19th-century copper pot stills. This version consistently uses agave from a single estate, though the specific estate may differ between releases. It is bottled at 98 proof.
