It's smooth and quite mellow. A touch of sting. It's somewhat generically bitter with a deep savory character but not much depth. A bit vegetal and earthy. A bit of sweetness, smoke, and the expected iodine. Not amazing.

About this bottle
Wild tepeztate maguey requires 25 to 30 years to mature before harvest. At the distillery in Oaxaca, Maestro Beto triple distills its pressed juices before bottling at 45% ABV. Production is very limited, with only 480 bottles produced.
