About this bottle
The wild tobalá agave, known as “the king of mezcal,” is gathered in the highlands of Oaxaca, frequently on extremely steep mountainsides and rocky cliffs. Beyond its difficult growing environment—at elevations of 1,700–2,600 meters—the tobalá's smaller size necessitates a much greater quantity of plants for this release. Similar to the madre cuishe, this uncommon agave requires at least 12 years of maturation before harvesting.
