A limited annual release from artisan Mezcal producers, this spirit is made from Espadin agave and triple distilled. Before the final distillation, it's mixed with local fruits, herbs, and nuts. A whole turkey breast is then hung in the still to add depth and enhance smokiness.

About this bottle
Pierde Almas crafts its Pechuga mezcal annually in November, enhancing their Espadín mezcal through a third distillation. A distinctive step involves suspending a turkey breast within the still, differing from the conventional chicken breast. Prior to this final distillation, the mezcal is infused with an assortment of wild fruits, herbs, and nuts, including apples, pineapples, almonds, pecans, citrus blossoms, and anise.

Notes of dried fruit, subtle anise, and a nutty scent. The palate reveals meaty, leathery, and savory notes, with a prominent anise flavor. A delightful experience. It has a smooth texture in the mouth, with a noticeable kick from the 49% ABV. Absolutely delicious.
Complex fruit and nut notes of apple and cashew precede well-integrated smoke and savory flavors. The texture is also beautiful.
