The dedication to our craft and the persistent pursuit of excellence shape the core philosophy of the Vale Verde Group. Its founder has been involved with beverages for over five decades. He began by producing Coca-Cola in Minas Gerais and is also recognized for developing Kaiser beer and Kero Coco, the nation's first packaged coconut water, while continuing his entrepreneurial endeavors in the industry. The establishment of Vale Verde occurred gradually, starting when the founder received a small still from his uncle, sparking his interest in the cachaça market. Initially, the small output was shared only among acquaintances. However, the acclaim from connoisseurs and the superior quality of the distillate led to its commercial release. The Vale Verde brand was established in 1985. During this time, the founder sought new methods to enhance the fermentation and distillation processes. In Europe, he observed that techniques used in fine whiskey production could be applied to cachaças. Incorporating European expertise, Vale Verde Extra Premium was developed, aged for three years and adhering to the same production standards as international spirits, employing methods that ensure the product's distinct quality and flavor. Vale Verde cachaça subsequently garnered awards, increasing its renown across Brazil. The estate, upholding its production traditions, began attracting numerous visitors. This led to the creation of the Vale Verde Ecological Park in 2002, a sanctuary housing approximately 1,300 animals, including birds, reptiles, and mammals. The property, known as the Cachaças Theme Park, located in Betim, within the Belo Horizonte metropolitan area of Minas Gerais, offers various recreational and adventurous activities for families. Within the park, visitors can observe the complete production cycle of Vale Verde cachaças, which is entirely sustainable, and explore the Cachaça Museum, detailing the spirit's history dating back to ancient Egypt. The museum boasts over two thousand distinct labels, in addition to the complete Vale Verde collection. Regrettably, the park is currently closed to visitors, but the cachaça production continues with the same high quality. The Vale Verde Group's objective is sustainable expansion. Utilizing six tons of sugarcane daily during the harvest, approximately 140,000 liters of cachaça were produced in 2014. A portion of the sugarcane residue was used as fuel for production machinery, with the remainder serving as organic fertilizer for the sugarcane fields. Vale Verde 18 Years Exclusive Edition is a remarkable cachaça aged for 18 years in European oak barrels. It delivers an unparalleled flavor and the quality associated with the world's finest distillates. This limited edition is savored by fine drink enthusiasts and has an alcohol content of 40%. This exceptional and costly (550 USD) cachaça is singular, intricate, refined, mature, rich, and possesses a long finish. Source: Cachaçaria Nacional.

The Vale Verde Group's guiding principle is a passion for what we do and a relentless pursuit of quality. Its founder, Luiz Otávio Pôssas Gonçalves, has over 50 years of experience with beverages. He began by manufacturing Coca-Cola in Minas Gerais and is also recognized for creating Kaiser beer and Kero Coco, the first boxed coconut water in Brazil, in addition to continuing his entrepreneurial work in the sector. Vale Verde's emergence was gradual, starting when Luiz Otávio received a small still from his uncle, inspiring him to enter the cachaça market. Initially, the small production was only shared among friends. However, the appreciation from experts and the quality of the distillate led to the start of cachaça commercialization. The Vale Verde brand was established in 1985. During this time, Luiz Otávio sought new methods to enhance the fermentation and distillation of the drink. In Europe, he observed that practices used in fine whiskey production could be applied to cachaças. With European expertise, Vale Verde Extra Premium was soon developed, aged for three years and adhering to the same manufacturing standards as international distillates, ensuring differentiated quality and flavor. Vale Verde cachaça subsequently began winning awards, and its reputation grew across Brazil. The farm, preserving its manufacturing tradition, started receiving many visitors. This led to the creation of Vale Verde Ecological Park in 2002, housing approximately 1,300 animals including birds, reptiles, and mammals. The property, known as the Cachaças Theme Park, in Betim, near Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, offers various leisure and adventure activities for families. At the park, visitors can observe the entire 100% sustainable production process of Vale Verde cachaças and visit the Cachaça Museum, which details the history of the drink from ancient Egypt. The museum features over two thousand different labels, along with the complete collection of the Vale Verde brand. Unfortunately, the park is currently closed to visitors, but the cachaça continues to be produced with the same high quality. The Vale Verde Group focuses on sustainable growth. With six tons of sugarcane processed daily during harvest, around 140,000 liters of cachaça were produced in 2014. Part of the sugarcane bagasse was used as fuel for production machinery, and the remainder as organic fertilizer for the sugarcane fields. Vale Verde 18 Years Exclusive Edition is a notable cachaça aged for 18 years in European oak barrels. It offers an unparalleled flavor and the quality of the world's finest distillates.
