Valdespino Rare Spirits Ron Viejo is a potent, aged rum from Valdespino, more recognized for their Sherries, though they have released spirits previously. This particular rum originates from Panama & the Dominican Republic and was aged in Sherry casks. It begins dry with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, herbaceous spice, orange peels & tropical fruits. The dry palate adds flavors of thick Pedro Ximenéz-style sweetness, zesty grapefruit & bergamot, leading to an exceptionally long & extra brut finish with hints of oak, a touch of chocolate raisins & waxy fruit.
