About this bottle

Rhine Hall, located in Chicago, Illinois, specializes in crafting fresh fruit brandies. Their product 'La Normande' is a pommeau, a French-style apple cordial made by fortifying house-made, unfermented apple cider with Rhine Hall's apple brandy. The mixture then ages for nine months in 52-gallon bourbon barrels sourced from Heaven Hill. It is bottled at 18% ABV and has limited availability.

Kingston Craven 4.0

Served neat in a shot glass. Opened at a tasting room, so likely recently. The aroma is mostly hot apple cider and molasses with a touch of ammonia. On the palate, apple and oak come through, with some molasses characteristics continuing. It has a taste reminiscent of pie.
