An interesting blend, unlike anything I've encountered before (though I haven't tried many things). The flavor profile shown online is quite accurate. The aroma is intensely fruity and floral, with the fruitiness reaching an 'overripe' level reminiscent of a funky rum. It wasn't entirely pleasant initially but has grown on me. The taste is less distinct but still quite potent. There's a grape-spirit flavor along with a fairly standard alcohol taste, and a faintly bitter, almost herbal quality that adds character. The finish has a bit of pepper. Overall, it's slightly more bitter than I prefer, but it's mixed with very appealing fruity and floral aspects, making the overall experience enjoyable. It has a light quality that's refreshing with ice on a warm day. The price is quite good at $30. I might purchase this again.

About this bottle
Singani has been produced since 1530 and possesses its own DO (denomination of origin) and GI (geographical indication), exclusively originating from the Bolivian Andes. The Muscat of Alexandria grapes used must be cultivated at a minimum elevation of 5250 feet (1600 meters). While often categorized as a brandy globally due to the absence of a distinct Singani category, it is more accurately considered an eau-de-vie. This particular Singani marks the first availability in the United States, a feat achieved through the significant efforts of director Steven Soderbergh.

A friend and I had a tasting session last night where we shared several pours. I brought out some unusual, harder-to-find non-Scottish options. This was the final pour of the evening, following some amazing drams, so I likely didn't do it justice. It's a true summer drink. Grapes and more grapes. All grape-focused... purple sweet grapes. I need to revisit this one... it wasn't a fair comparison after tasting an incredible Macallan 10, Smogen Triple, and Ardbeg Drum CE.
An intense, unaged Brandy from a Bolivian distillery, made exclusively from the fermented juice of Muscat d’Alexandria grapes using natural yeasts. It begins boldly and aromatically with notes of grape must and hints of floral perfume; it then develops a dry and balanced character with notes of dried fruits, mountain meadow flowers, and white pepper; concluding with a quick and delicate finish with hints of oak and cherry. Aroma of fruit blossoms and grape skins. Soft, coating the mouth. Big floral notes, semi-sweet, finishing with freshly pressed unripe grapes. Very pleasant. Reminiscent of quality Pisco. Long finish.
On the nose, sweetness, herbs, and floral notes. The palate has moderate sweetness, pepper, and herbs. It takes a moment to truly appreciate but I find it pleasant.
Besides pisco, I haven't really tried brandy before. That being said, this might just convert me! It's incredibly floral and smooth.
