About this bottle

The Gauldrons Blended Malt, featuring Campbeltown single malts, is a creation of independent bottler Douglas Laing & Co. The name 'The Gauldrons' refers to a stormy bay on Scotland's west coast facing the Atlantic. A compass and a spider's web adorn the bottle, referencing the legend of Robert the Bruce (1274-1329) being inspired by a spider's persistent attempts to weave its web. Batch 3 was made available in October 2018.

Cooper Lombardi 4.0

The aroma evokes the seaside after the tide recedes, followed by malty biscuits. The taste is rich with a spicy, smoky intensity. The finish is moderate, with a subtle peaty note emerging. This is a superb dram, delivering a significant impact. An excellent representation of what Campbeltown offers.
