Son of a Peat The Redeemer represents the third release in the Son of a Peat series. This blend features 12 single malts from Islay, the Highlands, Speyside, and the Islands. The whiskies were aged in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks, with some components reaching 20 years of age. Bottled at cask strength, this Flaviar release is limited to 3,400 bottles.

The nose is a pleasing combination of smoke, char, and spice notes. The palate initially presents a surprising sweetness on the front of the tongue with caramel notes that transition to smoky, briny flavors with just a touch of bitterness. The finish is smoother than anticipated, with lingering smoke and a bit more bitterness, and a mild warmth in the stomach.
The nose has peat and smoke. It offers a solid balance of sweet and spicy; initially smooth and sweet with peat, it then sharpens to a warm spice upon swallowing and lingers gently.
