There's a vanilla sweetness and a slight graininess. Finish: A long finish with peat, oil, and leather. Sweet with a little citrus. This has an unusual sweetness for such a peaty dram. Released for the Fèis Ìle Islay Festival 2021. Limited to 5,190 bottles. This is a very easy-drinking dram. It's sweet but not fruity. Many peaty Islay whiskies use a sherry (or similar) cask finish for sweetness, but this is a straightforward sweet peaty whisky without fruit. I'd describe this as a whisky suitable for extended sipping, although at 53.8% ABV, the session would be brief!
