PALATE: Honeyed fruit, malt, banana, copper, spice, and some biscuit-like notes. This Irish Whiskey is soft, simple, and unremarkable, presenting as a fairly typical Irish offering. FINISH: Brief – banana, spice, and metallic notes fade quickly.

A shopkeeper suggested this, knowing the brand owner, so I took a chance at $35. The nose is light and buttery. The initial taste mirrors this with subtle complexity of almonds and butter. The dram is very smooth and light, with virtually no burn. Do I adore it? No, but it would serve well as an introduction to Irish Whiskey for a novice. It's worth $35, but not significantly more.
