About this bottle
Tequila Gran Sociedad Joven, established in 2021, is intended for sipping. It is crafted from blue Weber agave sourced from Jalisco's Highlands (Los Altos). The distilling team notably includes over 60% women, with Yadira Hernández serving as Master Distiller. Employing traditional techniques, the team cooks the agaves in brick ovens and processes them with a tahona. Following fermentation and double distillation, the unaged spirit matures in medium-charred American oak. The final product is a blend of 70% blanco and 30% añejo, bottled at its finished state. US distribution commenced in NY, CA, FL, and online in August 2022, with a suggested retail price of $189.
