Tequila Komos Reposado Rosa

Komos Reposado Rosa offers a distinctive method for both crafting and enjoying tequila. The rosa is gently matured in French oak barrels that previously held red wine for an eight-week period. This maturation imparts a notable smooth texture and a dry sensation on the tongue from the wine's character, yet it preserves a bold roasted agave essence. The scents are of fruit, with undertones of wine, forest fruits, rich cocoa, and agave. The tastes echo this with roasted agave, forest fruits, a peppery dryness, along with rich cocoa and zesty orange rind.

I anticipated a more pronounced influence from the wine barrels, but it appears to have only contributed to the pink coloration. The taste has an added dryness but is otherwise unremarkable.

Smells like white pepper, agave, wood, lime zest and pulp, vanilla, corn tortillas, and a hint of red wine. Flavors include agave, pepper, vanilla, and wood.

Himalayan sea salt on the nose. Very smooth on the tongue.

It's acceptable. The nose is decent with moderate sweetness.

Tastes like chocolate and raspberry.
