A respectable reposado, sampled during a tasting at the Specs on Bandera. It exhibits significant hay and abundant herbal, green agave characteristics, concluding with a brief finish marked by some port-like dark fruit notes.

About this bottle
Don Julio Rosado is a reposado tequila that has rested for 4 months in ruby port wine casks. Similar to other Don Julio products, the ripe agaves were sourced from Jalisco, Mexico's Los Altos region. The tequila naturally exhibits a pink color and is suggested to be enjoyed over ice or with a bit of seltzer and a lemon wedge. Don Julio Rosado is now a permanent offering, with availability beginning in February 2023 at an SRP of $125.99.

This is a good pour, and I'm pleased to have tried it, but I wouldn't spend the cash on a full bottle. It packs a serious peppery punch with a touch of fruitiness.
