Karlee Pepper 3.5

The Teeling Sommelier Selection includes versions of the Small Batch Irish Whiskey where high-quality wine casks were used for a second maturation instead of rum. After French and Italian wine casks, the 5th Release marks the first time it was aged in red wine casks from Portugal's Douro Valley, made from grapes from vines over 25 years old. These casks add notes of dark fruit and spices to the light, fruity-floral whiskey. Nose: Ripe plums and currants, accompanied by dates and hints of spices. Palate: Intense yet well-balanced with black pepper and tannins, alongside sour cherries and rich dark fruit flavors. Finish: Medium-long and fruity-spicy with dry tannins and warming spices.

Billy Mcintosh 4.5

Nose is intensely rich. Hints of cinnamon, cherries, and spices. Flavors of dried apricots and decadent fruitcake. Robust fruitiness with a touch of dark chocolate. A finish with sweeter spice notes. This is a remarkably well-balanced spirit.

Anton Starkey 3.8

Easy drinking. A nice blend from Teeling with good fruity notes from the wine cask finish.
