This Teeling release, exclusively for Dublin Airport's travel retail, is a non-chill filtered 12-year-old Irish whiskey. It's a blend of malt and grain whiskies that married in ex-Loupiac wine barrels. Loupiac, known as a sweet white wine from Bordeaux, France, imparts a noticeable sweetness to this blend. The aroma offers malt and biscuit notes, with pineapple and lemon creamsicle being the most prominent fruit scents. The palate bursts with sweet, vibrant, zesty fruits like lemon, orange, grapes, and grapefruit. A touch of spice and mild tannins emerge as it develops, leading to a finish that trails off with a dry, white wine sweetness and a hint of lingering light pepper.
