This has been my surprising whiskey find of the year! Nose - Picture freshly baked chocolate bread with a light dusting of powdered sugar and cocoa. Vanilla and light cereal grains meet a simple sugar marmalade. Then, subtle hints of red/blue wine emerge, introducing fruity elements. It's like a decadent dessert in a glass. Taste - This is an almost flawless marriage of Irish malt and grain, matured in exceptional casks. It has a creamy mouthfeel with bold white cinnamon spice, chocolate, and even a faint hint of chili pepper. Vanilla is abundant, but in a clean, grainy way, not like bourbon. The finish refuses to end. The spice and chocolate, along with a smoky oak barrel impression, linger intensely. Amazing lingering quality. 4.25 A must-have!
