Sampled from the bottle's neck, served straight up without aeration. This is the second rye-focused whiskey of our trio; specifically, a local bourbon featuring a high rye content in its grain recipe (55% rye, 35% corn, 10% malted barley). Exhibits thin legs. The aroma offers notes of eggnog heavily seasoned with nutmeg, alongside hints of leather. The palate delivers flavors of cinnamon, black pepper, and char, complemented by additional leather notes. The finish is dry, with a touch of rye spice and a gentle warmth. I enjoy this pour. Each taste reveals something new, making it engaging, though it leans more towards a whiskey for specific occasions rather than everyday enjoyment.

This is likely one of the finest bourbons I've had recently. It's full, rich, and an incredible value for the cost. I'll travel to Minnesota to get more.
The aroma is of leather and cherry. It hits the sides of the tongue with cherry and cinnamon. Fantastic!!
