Consume without bias. This is quite unexpected. The red wine cask influence is evident in the aroma with a slightly acidic apple note. The palate offers a Speyside-like sultana character, featuring sour cherry, orchard fruits, orange peel, ginger, and a bready mustiness. Red wine funk is present. It concludes with a clean, almost sweet vinegar note and a fleeting hint of cocoa. I enjoy this, especially considering its affordable price, primarily because many wine cask finishes utilize subpar spirits, which is not the case here. While it might not appeal to everyone, it's worth trying.

Red fruit and dark brown sugar on the nose. Light tannins and caramel, with a medium finish featuring mild spice.

A delicate and fruity spirit with a distinct wine barrel influence on the end. A pleasant, satisfying whiskey.

Fruit and oak notes. Straightforward but genuinely enjoyable. A nice find.
