Pear Brandy was among the initial products created by St George Spirits after its founding in 1982. They use whole organic Bartlett pears, harvested at peak ripeness, and distill them in copper pot-stills. The objective, as with all fine eau-de-vie, is to produce a pure, unadulterated expression of the base distillate. Approximately 30 pounds of fruit are used to produce a single 750ml bottle.

The aroma of freshly cut pear is delightful. The flavor is very fruit-forward with a smooth, somewhat creamy texture. The pear flavor is very prominent. This is among the finest tree fruit brandies we've had the pleasure of reviewing. Clearly, the team at St. George knows their craft. We enjoy this as a digestif and find it amazing in various brandy-based mixed drinks.
The aroma has prominent pear with very little alcohol burn. The flavor is remarkably clean and rich; it possesses a juicy quality reminiscent of the area near a fruit's core. It's excellent for cocktails and a favorite in my home.
I enjoy this neat. It also makes a fantastic sangria. A truly good purchase overall.
