About this bottle

The Arta Tequila brand, situated in El Arenal, Jalisco within the Tequila Valley, is operated by a family. Their commitment to sustainability is evident in their pesticide-free agave cultivation, although they are not officially organic. This Extra Añejo expression undergoes an extensive maturation period of five years. For the initial three years, it rests in American white oak, specifically ex-Heaven Hill bourbon casks. The subsequent two years involve an equal division of aging time in both ex-Cognac and ex-sherry barrels.

Angel Bolin 5.0

The finest tequila I've encountered. Offers a caramel aroma with hints of spice. Despite five years of aging, it retains a robust blue agave essence, complemented by notes of pepper and oak. Exceptionally well-rounded and exceedingly smooth.

Althea Samuels 5.0

A solid budget-friendly alternative to Tears of Llorona. It features notes of cooked agave, pineapple, cinnamon, dark chocolate, mild green chili, toasted vanilla, raisins, nutmeg, almonds, lavender, and rancio.

Edmond Whiteside 4.0

The aroma is extremely subtle, but the flavor is packed. A pleasant, dry, crisp, peppery finish.

Colby Rosa 4.5

First impression upon tasting! Very smooth.
