Twila Falk 2.5

Nose: wood varnish, cherries. Palate: malt, botanicals,, smoke, honey, and a hint of cinnamon. The peat is present, but not overwhelming. Water: adds a sea salt scent and helps balance the flavors on the palate somewhat. Overall: quite intricate but the flavor notes are scattered and not particularly harmonious.

It has peat, which I love. It's not as intense as Laphroaig or as full and flavorful as Ardbeg, though I suspect it contains whisky from both.

Freddie Beavers 3.5

Good, smooth, smoky scotch. More smoke on the smell than the taste. A bit thin and light but an easy drink. The finish disappears quickly.

Ezra Rodriquez 3.8

Good value. Abundant typical Islay characteristics and very affordable!

Robin Bruns 1.0
