About this bottle

Douglas Laing, an independent blender and bottler, offers Scallywag, a composition of single cask single malts sourced from Speyside. The 2022 Winter edition's casks were exclusively matured in sherry butts of the Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez varieties. This expression is presented at 54% ABV, straight from the cask, and without chill-filtration or added coloring. Global distribution, including Europe, Asia, and America, commenced in October 2022.

A serious meeting with Japanese clients... in a wine shop... and we discussed business for about 5-10 minutes, and the rest? We drank!! 🎼: Yo-Yo Ma "Japanese Melodies"... my client played it from his phone!! 😆🎶 Before you read my review, please note that I'm not a whisky expert and don't rely on my opinion..😅 🥃: The best of 5 sample bottles I tried... but again, greasy oak and a strange smell made it difficult for me to enjoy... I finished a glass, but it was not satisfying 😅
