A drier take on its more mature counterparts. Still has a nice caramel taste. I drank it straight but it would surely be fantastic in a mixed drink.

About this bottle
The designation "Añejo" is somewhat misleading for this rum. Despite its appearance of maturity, it is the youngest in the brand's portfolio, featuring rums with an average age of 2 to 4 years, slightly younger than their Blanco offering. It primarily consists of light rum, derived from molasses and produced in continuous column stills, blended with heavy rum made from sugar cane honey, a dark syrup created by filtering and boiling sugarcane juice. This heavy rum is distilled in copper pot stills and then aged in used bourbon barrels.
