This isn't a fantastic rum, and might not make my premium rum collection, as I've experienced superior rums. However, similar to its older counterpart, the value for money is exceptional. I purchased a bottle out of curiosity, figuring it could still be used for mixers, like in a Cuba Libre. I tried it neat, alongside the Exclusiva Reserva, and was pleasantly surprised. It shares many of the ER's fragrances. It requires more aeration, as the alcohol is more pronounced initially compared to the ER, and I believe an ice cube would also be beneficial. Yet, it can genuinely be savored as a sipping rum, which is unexpected given its price point. Sugar: 7 GPL

FLAVOR: Nutty Herbal Marzipan Lingering Sweet Finish NOSE: Nutty - Almond Sweet Vanilla COLOR: Golden Amber EXPERIENCE: Warm almond, extremely nutty with a lingering finish; this would be a great addition to cocktails to provide a distinct flavor.
This is a Venezuelan blended aged rum, categorized as such in the Smuggler's Cove guide. Some acquaintances have appreciated it more than I have; it might be a bit too mellow to add significant punch to your tiki drinks, but it's presentable on the rocks.
Sweet and spicy with hints of vanilla, caramel, and sweet herbs. It has a light yet full feel. The taste brings vanilla, apple, and sugar. It's a dark gold liquid with a light body. Overall, sweet and rich.
The aroma presents wet leather, orange marzipan, and spice. It has a sweetness one might anticipate from a rum, with a lingering finish. Quite pleasing overall.
The little brother of Exclusiva, a tasty, full-bodied rum.
