A robust, cask strength Calvados from the Groult family in Normandy, France, from a single cask. It blends traditional 5-year-old Pays d’Auge Calvados with a 2-year finishing period in Cantillon casks, obtained directly from the brewery in Brussels, renowned for their Kriek, a lambic beer brewed with sour Morello cherries. Cask No. 397 was bottled in January 2021 at 47.3% ABV and yielded only 324 bottles. It possesses an intensely fragrant beginning, a complex middle, and a long & strong conclusion. August 2021
