Christian Drouin, père, began making Calvados in 1960 after acquiring a farm and its orchards, initially finding little market for his apples. Fortunately, a family associate with a portable still provided assistance. The portable stills, originally built in 1947, are still employed at the Drouin estate, having found their permanent home there. The VSOP version is a combination of eaux-de-vie aged between five and twelve years.

Smooth, with a prolonged warming finish. Exceptional calvados, rivaling the quality of what we brought back from Normandy some years ago. The difficulty lies in its unavailability in the USA. Total Wine no longer stocks it.
A lasting finish with a spicy character, featuring prominent cinnamon.
