About this bottle
While his own distilling operations are not yet prepared for market, Eric Bordelet, known for crafting highly desired cider in Normandy, has chosen this barrel from his neighbor, Henri Bernard Beudin. Beudin adheres to the most rigorous principles. The spirit's entire maturation process involved no added water to the used Chenin Blanc wine barrels. The resulting Calvados was bottled without filtration or any artificial additions. Even the common practice of using sulfur dioxide to clean the barrels was avoided. Distillation was performed using an old-fashioned, single-run, column-still. The production yielded only 744 half bottles.
