Normally I don't discuss the aroma in my reviews, but this one has a strong, smoky scent that reminds me of the intensity of heavily peated Scotch. The taste begins with some grilled pineapple, herbal notes like anise and fennel, green agave, and lime zest, then develops into richer flavors of earth, smoky rubber, and significant minerality. This mezcal is remarkably rich and oily. Despite the cost, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this myself after receiving a generous sample from a valued customer.
