The Pearse Lyons Distillery, founded by Dr. Pearse Lyons (1944-2018) and established in 2017 in Dublin's The Liberties neighborhood, includes its own distilled malt whiskey in this blend. The Original Irish Whiskey is aged for 3 to 5 years in former bourbon barrels.

This young blend is quite delicate yet packed with taste. Partially matured in a former bourbon cask that previously held Kentucky stout, it features a pleasing wisp of smoke.
On the nose, a slight perfume and orange blossom. The taste is something else entirely. Honey at first leading into sweet smoke and lingering vanilla. A very intriguing dram indeed!
An unpretentious, budget-friendly Irish whiskey. The flavor profile is mild, but it's very easy to sip. One of my regular choices when I'm not seeking anything complex.
The flavor is a bit strange. It's reasonably smooth. I'd skip it.
I'm not a fan.
