Nose: earthy and distinct. Body: notes of leather and peppercorns, with a bit more vibrancy than the 12-year expression. Finish: a somewhat chemical note that isn't my preference, though I do like this a bit more than the 12-year.

About this bottle
Pearse Lyons Distillery, founded in 2017, operates in Dublin's Liberties area. Though some whiskey was obtained from other sources, malt whiskey was also distilled on their own equipment in Dublin. Head distiller selected seven different whiskeys for Distiller's Choice, mostly aged in former bourbon barrels, with some maturation in ex-sherry casks. The whiskeys range from 3 to 9 years old and are bottled at 42% ABV.

Nose: honey & vanilla Palate: sweet, apple, finish with notes of cinnamon.
Very smooth, without any spice or smoke, dangerously easy to drink!
