Montelobos Ensamble Mezcal

LR3000 presents a nose of dried fruits like pineapple or mango, green pepper, and tropical notes with hints of natural leather and acetone. The taste is an explosion of bold flavor, with tropical fruit like pineapple or mango that quickly gives way to a smoky punch and an acetone finish. Initial contact on the tongue has a leathery viscosity, followed by ample leather and spice. It evokes the idea of whisky aged in barrels, possessing a lasting spice that lingers.

Tequila/Mezcal tasting evening. My palate isn't sophisticated enough to discern specific notes beyond vanilla, caramel, oak, and agave. Also, the setting wasn't conducive to deep analysis, so I'm rating based on enjoyment. An excellent Mezcal, one of the best I've tried in my limited experience with this spirit.

Not to my preference, but I see it gets good feedback. Very smoky.
