About this bottle

Gracias a Dios maintains sustainable practices by planting three agave plants for every bottle produced. They employ traditional production techniques, such as wood-fired ovens and donkey-drawn tahonas. The organic espadín agave used in this spirit is eight years old at harvest and undergoes double distillation. It is bottled without any additional aging.

Rhett Boykin 4.8

The smell of agave is deep, with a hint of smoke around the edges. It tastes quite fruity when you first try it, with a natural sweetness that's enhanced by a smoky earthiness. The texture is full and balanced, with many bright top notes cutting through deeper tones. The finish is lengthy, with woodsmoke remaining on the tongue. It's a flavorful and genuine mezcal, among the superior varieties we have sampled.

Greyson Boone 3.0

As my initial experience with mezcal beyond tequila, I wished to enjoy it, but drinking it straight is unfeasible for me. Subtle tastes are apparent, yet the intense smell, taste, and lingering sensation of band-aids prevent full appreciation. I gave it to someone else for margaritas.

Tate Babcock 4.8

Wonderful, not excessively one-dimensional, a touch of sweetness, some smoke, gently layered and smooth

Alijah Dawson 3.8

Smoke, grapefruit, wood, pepper. Mellow and sweet, with a touch of smokiness on the palate.

Blaine Burnett 4.0

Better aroma. Good smoke. A little sweet. The finish stings.

Meghan Farrow 4.3

Sampled with a friend. Procured in Guadalajara, Mexico.
