This 2019 release is a rich, artisanal joven mezcal made with Tobala, Espadin, and Madrecuishe agave, stone ground and copper distilled. It presents an aromatic beginning with notes of exotic fruit, earth, smoke, wildflowers, herbs, and spices. The full-bodied middle reveals roasted agave, yucca, plantains, wild honey, with hints of lavender, cedar, cilantro, basil, and vanilla. The finish is long and substantial, with notes of butterscotch, stony minerality, smoke, coriander, and pepper.
