About this bottle

Nuestra Soledad features single-village mezcals from El Jolgorio. This mezcal, originating from Ejutla in the southern Valles Centrales region, is made from espadín agave. The agaves are cooked in pit ovens with mesquite and oak, undergo open-air fermentation, and are twice distilled in copper alembics.

Cadence Munson 3.5

Smells like rubber tires on hot pavement, followed by floral notes from the agave. I typically drink whiskey, so this is quite different and challenging, but I can tell it's intriguing and complex.

Jean Dukes 3.0

Crisp, vegetal notes, with hints of green bell pepper and lime zest from the limestone.

Faith Maxwell 3.8

Harsh, similar to a particular mezcal, but with more herbal notes. The finish is not long.

Alaina Early 4.3

Really well-rounded. Becoming one of my preferred Espadins.

Jesse Quick 3.8

A bit too funky for my liking, but it was an interesting tasting experience.

Liam Rudd 3.0

Decent, a bit harsh.
