Smell: Unripe bell pepper, a little smoke, subtle spice (paprika or white pepper?). Taste: Green vegetable notes (peppers, asparagus, artichoke), a touch of mint, and some grilled tropical fruit. A spicy element intensifies on the palate. The texture is pleasing, smooth yet slightly flinty and mineral-like. Aftertaste: Medium length. Fruity with a trace of lingering smoke and spice. A brief review – I sampled this at a local liquor store's pop-up event. This is one of two core offerings from Burrito Fiestro, labeled their “Ensamble” because it's crafted from two wild-harvested agave varieties, Agave Salmiana Cassispina (verde) and Agave Durangensis (cenizo), both aged 12 years. Quite enjoyable. It's a solid mescal, though not among the absolute best, and it's reasonably priced. "Good": 83/100 (3.5 stars)

89 points. A mezcal that is much closer to tequila than mezcal. No smoky notes, sweet agave and thyme. Generally pleasant, but also uneventful.
Enjoyable neat or with a single ice cube on a warm evening
